Prime timers

Meet Like-minded mature men

New York Prime Timers is an intergenerational social organization for gay and bisexual men over 40 years of age and for younger men who appreciate them.

New York Prime Timers hosts events each month where mature men and their friends come together for various social activities - luncheons, concerts, art events, movies, museums, clothing-optional parties, and more. There is always a variety of events on our calendar where members can meet and mingle .

New York Prime Timers hosts a casual social at the LGBT Community Center on the Second Saturday of each month. The gatherings are informal opportunities for mature gay and bisexual men to meet-and-greet both with older men and with younger men who like older men. Our Second Saturday events are open to both members and non-members.
This coming Saturday, June 10, 2 p.m. at the LGBT Community Center.  Come to hear Perry Brass speak and read.  Activist, poet, and author Perry Brass has published 21 books, was a member of the groundbreaking Gay Liberation Front and co-editor of Come Out!, the world’s first gay liberation newspaper; co-founded the Gay Men’s Health Project Clinic, and the Rainbow Book Fair, the largest LGBT book event in the U.S. He will be reading from his newest book "Trial by Night, Two Novellas of Gay Love, Horror, Innocence, and Deception," as well as some poetry he loves reading. You can learn more about him at or on Amazon and other book sites.

This event is open to members ($3) and non-members ($5). As usual, there will be a "meet and greet" time after the presentation. RSVPs are not required.

The LGBT Community Center is handicap accessible and is conveniently located near public transportation at 208 West 13th Street, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues, in Manhattan. A SPECIAL EVENT  Saturday, June 17, 2 p.m.,

Meet for a GALLERY TALK at the Marinaro Gallery, 678 Broadway, between Bond and Great Jones Sts., third floor. (The nearest subway stations are Bleeker St. on the #6 line, and Broadway-Lafayette on the B, D and F lines.)  Artist and art historian Johnny Sagan, (the speaker at our last meeting), will lead a gallery talk discussing the work of Anthony Iacono, currently showing at the Marinaro Gallery.  Anthony was present at our last meeting, too.)

Iacono is an artist influenced by the graphic aesthetics of prints and posters. He depicts figures in seemingly everyday scenarios that are offset with coded language and suspense. These intricate painted collages tell a story of his experiences birdwatching, a recent hobby, and the activity’s parallels to historically queer cruising spaces that blur the line between public and private.

Even at dusk, night watchers are desperate to catch a glimpse of something - and in these shadowy paths comes ultimate freedom. This public space has a lot of private going on. Everything looks ordinary until you make eye contact...

This event is FREE and is open to members and non-members. Reservations are not necessary, but if you need more information, contact Peter at:

SPECIAL NOTE:  Our speaker in April, Gianni Caminiti, has had his book published.  To find it on line, follow:,aps,211&sr=1-1
